2017 Waurika Rattlesnake Hunt!

Hey friends 👋 THIS IS MY SECOND BLOG! As you all know I'm a reporter for KSWO, the ABC affiliate in Lawton, Oklahoma. I landed my dream job 9 months ago and it's been amazing ! Today I'm going to a rattlesnake festival in Waurika! I'm a little terrified of rattlesnakes, but I'm excited to cover the event. Who knows, I may take a picture with a live Diamondback rattlesnake or try some deep- fried rattlesnake meat 🍖. I will be live 4,5, and 6 p.m. with all the action !

While at the Rattlesnake Festival I tried deep fried rattlesnake for the first time ! I will be honest it tasted like chicken, but it had tons of bones in it ! When I took a bite I had a mouth full of bones! For more stories I did at the Festival, check out my Youtube page.
